Q:  What is Mechatronics?
A:  Mechatronics is the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.  In the context of this website, it specifically refers to the installation, operation, maintenance, and design of automated processes.

Q:  Are there demonstrations available to show how Mechatronics works?
A:  Yes, the staff of the Mechatronics Education Center (MEC) frequently travels to schools and businesses.  Those interested are always welcome to visit the MEC’s Manufacturing Learning Laboratory at Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska.  Feel free to contact us for your own personal tour.
